Product Merchandising Writer (Polish / English) – ICONIC GLOBAL STREAMING BRAND 6-month, Full-Time Contract (Remote) – Approx. 40 hours/week About the Role We are seeking a versatile, creative, and detail-oriented Product Merchandising Writer to join the Product Merchandising team. In this role, you will help subscription members navigate an expansive catalogue of content by crafting concise, engaging, and creative synopses and other product copy. This is an ideal role for an entertainment-obsessed generalist who loves storytelling, ideating on language, and thriving in collaborative editing environments. You’ll work across a wide range of genres — from reality TV to prestige historical dramas and romantic comedies — ensuring every title is represented with clarity, creativity, and cultural relevance. The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer and editor with deep expertise in Polish media and entertainment, fluent in Polish and English, and excited to contribute to global conversations about entertainment. Key Responsibilities Write high-quality synopses for Polish and Central & Eastern European (CEE) movies and television shows in English Create additional product-facing copy, including: Collection and row names Email and push notification copy Short-form UI messaging Write and edit selected product copy in Polish when required Review Polish product writing to ensure quality, accuracy, and local relevance Collaborate closely with Editorial Writers to align copy with creative briefs and market needs Apply BRAND editorial principles to produce inclusive, nuanced, and audience-aware writing Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines Required Qualifications Full professional working proficiency in English Native-level proficiency in Polish Deep understanding of Polish culture and the Polish entertainment landscape Excellent writing and editing skills in both Polish and English Proven experience writing: Synopses for streamers or broadcasters Editorial content related to film and television (articles, reviews, features, blogs) Experience producing short-form product copy (e.g. taglines, UI copy, push notifications, email messaging) Strong command of AP style and exceptional attention to detail Excellent research skills with the ability to quickly synthesize information Comfortable receiving and offering candid editorial feedback Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work autonomously Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of other Central and Eastern European markets Familiarity with the German entertainment market Proficiency in additional European languages Additional Information This role is fully remote Applicants will be asked to complete a writing exercise as part of the interview process
