Digital Marketing Lead – Luxury Lifestyle Publishing Giant Location: London (4 days per week onsite/hybrid) Contract Type: Inside IR35 Contract Pay rate: £550 per day, PAYE Experience Required: Minimum 4 years’ relevant experience Overview We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Digital Marketing Lead to drive customer growth, marketing performance, CRM excellence, and operational effectiveness across European consumer revenue brands. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong expertise across paid media, CRM strategy, customer segmentation, email automation, team management, and data-driven marketing execution. The successful candidate will be capable of stepping into a fast-paced environment, influencing senior stakeholders, and delivering measurable commercial impact quickly. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management Provide clear leadership and direction to the marketing team, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives, revenue targets, and brand positioning. Manage and mentor Editors and wider marketing team members to drive high performance and accountability. Lead management and execution support for the Vogue Advent Calendar and associated campaigns. Build a collaborative, results-oriented culture through coaching, training, and ongoing development initiatives. Paid Media & Performance Marketing Oversee paid media strategy and execution across key channels including Google and Meta. Ensure campaigns are optimised for acquisition, conversion, and revenue growth. Maintain strong working relationships with Google and Meta account managers to maximise platform opportunities and best practice adoption. Monitor channel performance and implement continuous optimisation initiatives. CRM, Email & Customer Lifecycle Rebuild and optimise CRM and email marketing strategies to improve engagement, retention, and customer value. Lead Iterable readiness planning and implementation activities. Develop practical and scalable customer segmentation strategies using Treasure Data and marketing automation tools. Ensure CRM excellence across lifecycle journeys, automation, and customer communications. Strategy & Commercial Delivery Oversee channel planning developed by the Digital Marketing Manager, ensuring a strong cross-channel approach. Drive data-led decision-making by identifying opportunities, trends, and actionable insights. Manage marketing budgets effectively, ensuring optimal ROI and commercial efficiency. Deliver measurable growth outcomes within short timeframes while balancing acquisition and brand objectives. Stakeholder & Brand Management Act as a senior strategic partner to European Consumer Revenue leadership teams. Communicate marketing strategy, campaign performance, and business impact clearly and effectively to senior stakeholders. Ensure brand consistency and high-quality customer experience across all marketing touchpoints. Collaborate with creative freelancers and agencies to deliver compelling, high-quality marketing assets and campaigns. Operational Excellence Establish scalable marketing processes, prioritisation frameworks, and ways of working. Improve operational efficiency across campaign planning, execution, reporting, and team collaboration. Ensure marketing activity is executed consistently and to a high standard. Required Skills & Experience Minimum 4 years’ experience in digital marketing, performance marketing, CRM, or growth marketing leadership roles. Strong expertise across paid media channels including Google Ads and Meta platforms. Experience with CRM, customer lifecycle marketing, and email automation platforms such as Iterable. Knowledge of customer data and segmentation platforms such as Treasure Data. Proven experience managing marketing budgets and driving commercial performance. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Experience leading and developing high-performing marketing teams. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, transformation-focused environments. Strong analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Experience balancing acquisition performance with long-term brand growth. Preferred Experience Client-side marketing experience is essential. Experience within publishing, media, luxury, retail, or consumer subscription businesses is highly desirable. Experience working with external creative agencies and freelancers. Familiarity with European consumer markets and multi-brand environments.
