Our Commitment

Read about some of the commitments that we abide by at Career Moves, that align with who we are as a company and what our values are.

Our Commitment

People First

Our company strategy is that we always put ‘People First’; from Onboarding, Development, Succession Planning & Benefits we are striving to be fit for the new World of Work, so that our employees remain happy and driven with plenty of career progression. As for the rest of our strategy, we continue on the path to be hitting our financial targets (with great success!), we are consistently reviewing our Factoring Arrangement and remain committed to growing sustainable teams to match the level of work we have on. Within our strategy we are always evolving, which we have been able to do by producing consistent and engaging marketing campaigns, redesigning our website to stay fresh and competitive and to automate regular processes to be efficient.

Our growing social media presence, showcases our brand awareness and tone of voice throughout, whilst spotlighting our new joiners so they feel ‘part of the team’ despite joining virtually. We will continue to support our People to work flexibly and smartly and will remain advocates of each team members successes. Our strategy is both supportive and collaborative to ensure everyone feels equipped to be the best versions of themselves that they can be.

Diversity & Inclusion Policy

We embrace diversity and will seek to promote the benefits of diversity in all of our business activities. We will seek to develop a business culture that reflects that belief. We will seek to widen the media in which we recruit to ensure as diverse an employee and candidate base as possible. We will strive to make sure that our clients meet their own diversity targets.

We are committed to diversity and will promote diversity for all employees, workers and applicants and shall adhere to such a policy at all times. We will review on an on-going basis all aspects of recruitment to avoid unlawful or undesirable discrimination. We will treat everyone equally irrespective of sex, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, marital or civil partnership status, age, disability, colour, race, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief, political beliefs or membership or non-membership of a Trade Union or spent convictions, and places an obligation upon all staff to respect and act in accordance with the policy. We are committed to providing training for our entire staff in equal opportunities practice.

We shall avoid stipulating any unnecessary requirements which would exclude a higher proportion of a particular gender, sexual orientation, age, religion or racial group or which would exclude disabled job applicants; and will avoid prescribing any requirements as to marital or civil partnership status.

We shall not discriminate unlawfully when deciding which candidate/temporary worker is submitted for a vacancy or assignment, or in any terms of employment or terms of engagement for temporary workers. We will ensure that each candidate is assessed only in accordance with the candidate’s merits, qualifications and abilities to perform the relevant duties required by the particular vacancy.

We will not accept instructions from clients that indicate an intention to discriminate unlawfully.

Diversity for all employees

Our Sustainability Mission

At Career Moves, we are committed to acting responsibly and continue to be intentional about sustainability. Our Eco Team meet up every 6 weeks to discuss the initiatives that we have in place as well as new things that we could be doing. We are always striving to be better.

How our business is committed to sustainability:

1. We are intentional about sustainability

2. We offer remote work to reduce CO2 emissions, using digital sources to scan, store documents electronically, hence reducing paper consumption

3. We adhere to reduce, reuse, recycle, especially whilst WFH less consumption of single use plastic, i.e. water bottles replaced with reusable bottles, glass at home

4. We make energy-efficient upgrades i.e. laptops, using a sustainable partner such as

Dell Technologies

5. We've switched our browsers to Ecosia: The search engine that plants trees. Over 100 million planted so far, across biodiversity hotspots all over the world. We want to be part of the mission.

6. We have planned 'Sustainability Days' - where the whole company take a paid day off to partner with an organisation committed to making the world a greener and more sustainable place. We are a company that takes real action!

7. We have a savvy Eco Committee – holding our whole team accountable

As well as these 7 regimented sustainability commitments we have in place, each month the Eco Team will put forward a 'Green Action' they want everyone in the business to adopt. Whether that be Meat Free Mondays or Upcycle Your Clothes Wednesdays one thing we can be sure of, is everyone across the business is aligned in working towards being more sustainable.

Keep your eyes peeled for our 'Green Action' posts on our LinkedIn!
