Sales Team Leader – Technology Distribution 
West Midlands / Hybrid
Competitive Salary + bonus

A well-established technology distributor supplying infrastructure and connectivity solutions across the UK and Europe is looking for an experienced Sales Team Leader to manage and develop a high-performing sales team.
This role combines team leadership, customer engagement, and commercial ownership of key project opportunities. You’ll work closely with external sales teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to deliver excellent customer experience while driving profitable growth. If you enjoy leading a team, winning projects, and building strong customer relationships, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected and growing organisation in the technology distribution space.

What You’ll Be Doing Leading the Internal Sales Team

  • Managing and mentoring a team responsible for European customer accounts
  • Setting team objectives and ensuring service levels and KPIs are consistently achieved
  • Driving a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance

Driving Sales Growth

  • Supporting key project opportunities and complex customer enquiries
  • Working with suppliers to secure pricing support and product availability
  • Maximising revenue opportunities across the full product portfolio

Customer & Project Management

  • Building strong relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders
  • Supporting major bids, tenders, and project opportunities
  • Maintaining accurate pipeline forecasting and CRM updates

Operational Excellence

  • Ensuring fast response times to customer enquiries and quotes
  • Monitoring team performance against sales targets and margin objectives
  • Coordinating with logistics, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth delivery

What My Client is looking for:

  • Previous sales team leadership & key client account management
  • Experience in technology distribution, networking, infrastructure, or related markets – desireable but not essential
  • Upselling not business development experience
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets
  • Strong organisation and multitasking skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Bonus if you have:

  • Experience managing large bids or project-based sales
