This is a rare opportunity to join a developing greenfield Procurement function, managing approximately $150m of global third-party spend and helping to shape procurement strategy across the business.
As Procurement Director – Indirect, you will lead sourcing and supplier management activity across key spend categories including HR, Travel, Professional Services, Legal and Finance, driving commercial value, cost optimisation, and supplier performance in a fast-paced international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior business leaders to develop and execute procurement strategies across a broad range of indirect spend categories.
- Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including supplier identification, evaluation, selection, and commercial negotiations to secure best-value outcomes.
- Build and maintain effective supplier relationships to support service quality, performance, and long-term value creation.
- Deliver measurable cost savings, cost avoidance, and commercial improvement initiatives aligned to business objectives.
- Develop and maintain supplier risk and governance frameworks for critical third-party vendors.
- Support the ongoing enhancement of the procurement function, including processes, policies, systems, and operating model improvements.
- Drive supplier performance management activities, ensuring appropriate controls, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives are in place.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to influence procurement decisions and maximise commercial value across the organisation.
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Category Management within a complex, international business environment.
- Strong indirect procurement expertise across multiple corporate services categories.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing sourcing strategies that deliver tangible commercial benefits and supplier performance improvements.
- Excellent knowledge of procurement best practice, commercial negotiations, contract management, and supplier governance.
- Experience working with enterprise-wide procurement and ERP systems.
- Background managing global suppliers and supporting international stakeholder groups.
- Strong understanding of supplier risk management, third-party governance, and supplier relationship management.
- Commercially astute with advanced financial analysis and cost modelling capabilities.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical and solution-oriented, with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and delivering against challenging deadlines.
- Degree educated and/or professionally qualified (e.g. CIPS or equivalent).
