Finance Systems Manager

CMG are looking for an experienced Finance Systems Manager to join a leading real estate investment firm in the heart of London, where you’ll own and enhance the finance ERP landscape, drive automation and reporting improvements, and partner with finance, asset management, and IT to deliver best‑in‑class system performance.

In this high‑impact role, you’ll shape the evolution of our real estate ERP, strengthen controls, optimise workflows, and empower users across the business—all within a dynamic, collaborative, and fast‑growing investment environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary owner of Horizon, providing day‑to‑day support to finance and accounting teams and coordinating with IT as needed.
• Lead the implementation, optimisation, and ongoing development of the Horizon ERP to meet evolving business, reporting, and property‑accounting requirements.
• Ensure Horizon supports an efficient financial close, maintaining stable configuration, reporting structures, and data integrity.
• Maintain and update SOPs, system controls, and finance process documentation relating to Horizon.
• Drive process automation and efficiency across finance, including improvements to reporting, workflows, and data quality.
• Manage Horizon configuration, system access, permissions, and internal controls, ensuring compliance with governance and reporting frameworks
• Partner with IT/MIS on Horizon architecture, enhancements, testing, integrations, and release management.
• Lead Horizon‑related projects, including upgrades, module enhancements, reporting improvements, and data governance initiatives.
• Support users with the development of reports, dashboards, and KPIs within Horizon.
• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced Horizon issues, ensuring timely documentation and effective resolution.
• Oversee Horizon data structures and support integrations with other internal systems.
• Provide clear documentation of system changes, integrations, and data flows to support scalability and audit requirements.
• Support internal/external audits by ensuring high‑quality Horizon data and system documentation.

 
Qualifications

• Qualified ACCA/CIMA etc accountant or relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Accounting, or related field.
• 5+ years of finance systems administration experience with Horizon, similar real estate ERPs (Yardi, MRI) highly preferred
• Strong understanding of real estate and financial accounting (leases, service charge/CAM, fixed assets, multicurrency).
• Experience with ERP implementation, configuration, and integration.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple system priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with finance, IT, and senior stakeholders.
• Self‑starter with strong problem‑solving ability and a continuous improvement mindset.
