CMG are looking for an experienced Finance Systems Manager to join a leading real estate investment firm in the heart of London, where you’ll own and enhance the finance ERP landscape, drive automation and reporting improvements, and partner with finance, asset management, and IT to deliver best‑in‑class system performance.

In this high‑impact role, you’ll shape the evolution of our real estate ERP, strengthen controls, optimise workflows, and empower users across the business—all within a dynamic, collaborative, and fast‑growing investment environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary owner and subject matter expert for Horizon, providing day‑to‑day support to the finance teams as well as external managing agents.
  • Lead the implementation, optimisation, and ongoing development of Horizon to meet evolving business, reporting, and real estate accounting requirements.
  • Ensure Horizon fully supports an efficient financial close, maintaining stable configuration, accurate data flows, and reliable reporting structures.
  • Maintain and update SOPs, system controls, access permissions, and finance process documentation relating to Horizon, ensuring compliance with internal governance and audit frameworks.
  • Drive process automation and continuous improvement across finance, including enhancements to workflows, reporting, data quality, and user experience.
  • Manage Horizon configuration, upgrades, module enhancements, and release cycles, including planning, testing, UAT, and deployment.
  • Support and oversee data structures, integrations, and interfaces between Horizon and other internal systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex Horizon issues, coordinating with internal IT to ensure timely, well‑documented resolutions.
  • Partner with IT on system architecture, enhancements, integrations, and data governance initiatives.
  • Support end‑users with the development and refinement of reports, dashboards, and KPIs within Horizon to improve property and portfolio‑level insight.
  • Provide clear documentation of system changes, workflows, integrations, and data flows to support audit requirements and future scalability.
  • Support internal and external audit processes by ensuring high‑quality Horizon data, documentation, and strong internal controls.
  • Experience in report writing using SSRS and freehand SQL

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in finance systems roles, with strong hands‑on expertise in Horizon; experience with other real estate ERPs (Yardi, MRI) is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of real estate finance and property accounting
  • Highly organised, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple concurrent system priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with finance teams, IT, and senior stakeholders.
  • A proactive self‑starter with strong problem‑solving ability, analytical mindset, and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Active contract management of ERP providers

Nice to have

  • Accounting qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience in ERP implementation, configuration, testing, integrations, and system improvement projects
  • Multicurrency environments
