The Role
Reporting straight into the CEO and working with the wider SLT, the Financial Controller will take full ownership of day‑to‑day finance operations. Duties
- Own the finance function end to end as the company’s first in‑house hire, handling everything from daily transactions to month‑end close.
- Maintain complete cost visibility across the business, with hands‑on scrutiny of telecom spend including routing, termination, CDRs, and interconnect charges.
- Run bookkeeping and month‑end close in, bringing the process in‑house and ensuring results are accurate, timely, and scalable.
- Manage accounts payable by reviewing invoices, resolving issues, and ensuring vendors are paid correctly and on time.
- Own accounts receivable, including customer invoicing, cash collection, and reconciliations to keep cash flow predictable.
- Validate supplier invoices in detail, proactively identifying errors, overcharges, and cost anomalies before they hit the books.
- Coordinate payroll across multiple jurisdictions, working with external providers while retaining internal ownership and accountability.
- Handle VAT submissions, tax filings, and ongoing compliance in line with Estonian accounting standards.
- Produce monthly financial reporting including P&L, cash position, and cost breakdowns that leadership can rely on
- Support audits and statutory reporting by preparing documentation, answering questions, and working directly with external accountants and auditors
- Take on ad‑hoc finance projects as the company grows, improving processes, controls, and visibility where needed.

- Comfortable working fully remote with high autonomy
- Detail‑oriented and accuracy‑focused
