Location: UK, London
Length: 12 months
Rate: £250.00 – £350 per day.
Hours: 40 hours per week. (remote 3 days per week)

Our client’s Private Brands International team manages and develops our client grocery consumables brand across all channels for both the UK and pan-EU, offering a mix of everyday essentials, local favorites, and seasonal items we think our customers will want and love, all at great prices. Our goal is to be Earth’s most customer-centric grocery brand and we are just getting started. We are looking for people who want to join an ambitious, innovative, and customer-obsessed program.

Our client’s Private Brands-International is looking for an exceptionally motivated and talented Product Manager with a strong customer focus, a passion for great quality food, and the drive and resilience to deliver results. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm and food product development skills to be part of our dynamic growing grocery team.

Role Brief
As an experienced Product Development Manager, you will be responsible for the development of food products through all stages of the product lifecycle from insight to product planning, development, specifications, artwork, and launch. You will use customer data and insight to inform product and ranging decisions.

Key job responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will be managing the development and product lifecycle of our grocery products under Our client’s brand including but not exclusively: range architectures, adherence to brand values while setting and maintaining the highest quality standards, and managing the critical path. You will need to constantly strive to simplify processes, maintain frugality, and deliver results against commercial guardrails whilst upholding a high-quality bar. Clear and articulate communication skills and complex stakeholder management are essential; you must be capable of building and managing long-term relationships with a broad portfolio of vendors.

The team works cross-functionally on projects that require a strong detail-oriented execution focus, problem-solving drive, and proven ability to work autonomously. Leveraging a background in culinary product development, the ideal candidate has a well-developed palate, and a clear understanding of the grocery retail market, food trends, and innovation. You will be passionate about food with extensive experience in grocery retail and bringing new products to market.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have experience in culinary Development/Food Product Development from product concepts to full commercialization
  • Experience creating and documenting processes and procedures Preferred qualifications
  • Extensive experience in the food industry with relevant product development experience
  • Culinary & Food Technology experience/training, preferably in fresh food development
  • Experience and knowledge of ingredient functionality
  • Experience working in a cross-functional large organization environment
  • Experience in converting data and insights into strategic product pipelines
  • Experience in end-to-end project management and adherence to critical paths, brand standards
  • Experience commercializing diverse products
  • Experience with Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and formula management-focused systems
