Sarah Savage, Head of Career Moves Office Support, has raised more than £1,000 for Barts Charity after running the Hackney Half Marathon this Sunday 8th May.

On what turned out to be the hottest day of the year so far, Sarah ran the 13.1 mile course across east London with her husband Mark.

Sarah, who nominated Barts as Career Moves' 2016 charity of the year, said, "It was tough in the heat but there was some incredible support around the course and knowing how much money we had raised spurred us along the way."

Barts Charity supports five hospitals across London, St Bartholomew's Hospital, The Royal Hospital London, Newham University Hospital, Whipps Cross University Hospital and Mile End Hospital. Money raised by the charity is used across departments and include both hospital and community based projects.

In March, Career Moves collected more than 100 Easter eggs as part of Egbert's Eggs-traordinary Challenge appeal, in aid of patients in hospital over Easter.
