Diageo: Championing Diversity and Inclusion

Diageo is known for their conscious efforts to pioneer a diverse and inclusive culture. Just a short few months ago, Diageo ranked fourth in Thomson Reuters Diversity and Inclusion index. Launched in 2016, the Thomson Reuters Diversity and Inclusion Index has ranked Diageo in the top 25 most diverse and inclusive companies for a third year in a row.

Yesterday afternoon, Diageo continued to concrete their standing through a network event held to unveil their new EVP:  ‘Character is Everything’. Diageo are focused on respecting the unique contribution each person brings. Their purpose is in itself, inclusive in nature, as it values everybody irrespective of background, religion, sexuality, or ethnicity.

Diageo are infusing diversity and inclusion into the company’s DNA, as a central principle to operate business. Within this movement, they are seeking to rewrite how companies adopt diversity and inclusion initiatives so that it is addressed as an integral part of the business’ key growth enablers in both values, purpose, and standards.
