Career Moves has announced that it will support Barts Charity this year, after a companywide nomination and selection process.
Each year, staff have the opportunity to nominate a charity that they are passionate about and present to the rest of the company, who then vote on their preferred organisation. Past charities have included SNAP (Special Needs and Parents) and Evelina Children's Hospital in 2015.
For the next 12 months, Career Moves will support Barts Charity with a variety of fundraising events, from sponsored runs and charity bake-offs to quiz nights.
Barts Charity supports five hospitals across London, St Bartholomew's Hospital, The Royal Hospital London, Newham University Hospital, Whipps Cross University Hospital and Mile End Hospital. Money raised by the charity is used across departments and include both hospital and community based projects.
Sarah Savage, Head of Career Moves Office Support who nominated this year's charity said, "The charity supports six hospitals in the capital including those in some of London's most disadvantaged communities and as a London based business, it is fantastic to be able to support a local cause, but one which is extremely far reaching.
"Everyone knows someone who has been affected by life-threatening illness or disease, and by supporting Barts for the next year, we will be able to play a part in bettering the lives of those affected."
Career Moves Managing Director Caroline Foote said, "We are committed to supporting the community, from our work with the Career Ready UK programme, to our regular fundraising events.
"Barts Charity is a fantastic cause and I am pleased that we will be supporting its work this year, I'm looking forward to getting involved in some great fundraising events!"
