Career Moves & Brexit

Following the June 24th decision to leave the European Union there has been lots of discussion about what happens next.
For many of us and certainly at Career Moves it is business as usual. Career Moves has a strong and stable business plan. We are confident that by sticking to this and keeping in close touch with our clients and candidates and helping them respond to their urgent requirements this period of uncertainty can actually be a time for opportunity.
There is no blueprint for an EU Exit. So while there is uncertainty in the air there is also a sense of optimism about what this will mean going forward for Great Britain.
Once Britain elects a new Prime Minister they will invoke Article 50 and from there it will take at least 2years for Brexit to occur.
While many managers are reviewing budgets and strategies about hiring permanent staff, there is a demand to hire temp staff until these plans can be put in place. So again, there are many opportunities arising from the decision to leave the EU.
Temp staff are great for many reasons; they come with an excess of experience, hit the ground running on projects to ensure they get the most out of their time and can bring a fresh breathe of air to a company that might be feeling stuck.
