Job Description:
- Design, pressure test and spec components and patterns for the Flex design library.
- Ensure that concepts, prototypes and UI leverages the new Fitbit design system, brand, voice.
- Collaborate effectively within a cross-functional product development team including various design peers, UX team members, researchers, and engineers to develop deep user understanding, solve complex problems to enhance interactivity, visual design, and delight for our users.
- Promote a strong feedback culture by both giving and receiving constructive and actionable feedback
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years of experience working with UX and/or Product teams (e.g., Motion, Interaction, UX Research, Engineering, Content Strategy) on technical implementation
- Experience implementing visual design systems across platforms using tools (e.g., Figma)
- Portfolio highlighting projects and your contributions.
Preferred qualifications:
- Relevant design industry experience.
- Advanced skills in problem-solving and familiarity with technical constraints and limitations as they apply to designing for platforms such as mobile, Android and iOS.
- Self-motivated, able to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project deadlines.
- Experience with designing, prototyping, and implementing expressive UI.
- Knowledge of design systems and ability to closely collaborate with other UX functions, product management, and engineering to take product from concept to launch.
- History of improving product excellence by identifying visual design limitations and proposing solutions
