This client is a top 5 tech giant with a global retail operation, video streaming platform, and has a big imprint in web services. This is a hybrid role, so you will split your time between home office and the clients offices in central London. On-site you will be able to access their amazing facilities and quirky working spaces.
We’re seeking a self-motivated Technical Program Manager (TPM) with strong collaboration skills and a proven track record of leading large-scale initiatives. The successful candidate will manage technical projects and work streams within our enterprise building management systems (EBMS) deployment program, serving the needs of hundreds of stakeholders. The TPM will drive process improvements through project outcome analysis and collaboration with customers and internal teams.
As a Technical Program Manager (TPM), you will drive and deliver multiple complex projects simultaneously. In this role, you will provide project leadership, anticipate bottlenecks, mitigate project risks, quantify the impact of making trade-offs, and balance business needs against technical constraints. You will communicate with stakeholders to ensure project and technical alignment within the EBMS program objectives. You will work closely with stakeholders across various design, project deployment, and business teams to identify and drive project progress and resolve interdependencies that achieve business goals and align with delivering projects on time.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong PM/TPM background, with demonstrated experience leading cross-organizational technical program management of technically related projects, and will have a technical background in cloud or IT-related projects.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively drive action items to completion by business and support teams according to the plan.
- Reduce the risk of cross-organizational failure modes (e.g. requirements not sufficiently understood/documented, ineffective cross-team collaboration, inadequate system design, insufficient testing/gaps, etc.)
- Obtain buy-in and drive collaboration with external teams effectively.
- Work closely with technical leaders and other program managers to effectively and efficiently deploy projects within the EBMS program.
- Lead high-visibility, cross-team initiatives including scoping, requirement gathering, technical design, implementation, and launch phases. This includes evaluating and recommending technical solutions to meet customer requirements, ensuring long-term scalability, and meeting project timelines.
- Develop documentation representative to present them to senior leadership.
- Be a technical problem solver on the team, identifying innovative solutions to project roadblocks
Basic Qualifications
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of experience in technical program management
- Proficiency with project management/information tracking software (e.g. MS Office, MS Project, JIRA, Miro, Asana, etc.)
- Experience with managing multiple projects
- Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure, complex systems, systems engineering
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams and building sustainable processes
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years of technical product or program management methodologies, business analysis or process improvement
