People Manager

A fast growth, scaling tech / e-commerce
business is challenging the health and beauty market. Not only are they
providing premium products, they are using technology to ensure that customers
are provided with the advice and the products that are right for them.

We are supporting this business to help them find their first People Manager to
join them as they scale the business. This is a perfect opportunity to help
shape the people function and culture of a growing startup in a stand alone
capacity. Reporting into the COO, you will work closely with the management
team to build and implement a suitable people strategy, helping them actively
shape company culture as they grow.

The Role

Take responsibility for recruitment across the business, working closely with
hiring managers to ensure they hire the right talent to meet ambitious business objectives

Take ownership and develop key people frameworks: performance management, career
progression, learning & development and compensation.

Be responsible for the whole employee lifecycle, from candidate experience to an
incredible onboarding process to the celebration of milestones.

Work with the leadership team to further define company values and the best methods to
communicate these.

Take ownership of the careers site and consider ways we can further develop this as
an incredible resource for prospective candidates.

Develop the team handbook, HR policies and management guidelines.

To succeed in this role you will have a strong generalist background gained ideally in a stand alone capacity in a
start up or fast scaling environment.  Experience within e-commerce or technology would be an advantage.

You will have knowledge across all the people functions including recruitment, benefits, performance management,
talent management and development. You will have a high level of commercial acumen and the ability to develop relationships with all levels within the
organisation, together with demonstrable leadership and people management skills.

You will be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of the people challenges that come with a rapidly scaling tech company.
