Partner Development Manager

Location: London

Length: 9 Months

Rate: £31.00 - £36.00 per hour (40 hours p/w)

Hours: 9am-6pm

This role is for a Partner Development Manager Contractor to work with us for 10 months to support community leaders who have built impactful & engaged communities on our platforms across Europe at scale & individually. The role is based in our Community Partnerships Team (CPT), whose mission is to empower community leaders to start, grow and sustain meaningful communities around the world. The team serves community leaders and group admins to understand and address their needs in sustaining and strengthening their communities. We succeed when community leaders thrive.

This person will support a portfolio of community leaders through scaled leadership, community management and product education strategies across Europe - namely by running our two company community Learning Labs (FCLL) in English and German. This includes equipping leaders with tools and training to grow and engage their memberships, facilitating peer-to-peer support and leveraging adoption of company products to develop their communities on the platform and have real world impact. Through deep knowledge of community and community leaders in Europe this person will also work cross-functionally across different teams to help shape our products, inform strategy, and ensure our partners are successful.

In addition to this scaled partner management this role will serve up to five strategic partners in the French market, providing one on one coaching and development as part of a package of core servicing designed to help these communities and their leaders thrive. This person will proactively cultivate relationships within the French office and anchor CPT’s ongoing work in this market to develop a strategy to scale support to partners in France.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead & manage the company Community Learning Lab , Groups for Europe & Germany, supporting around a thousand of Europe’s top digital community leaders to develop their communities and drive impact.
  • Deliver learning content and activations to partners including through webinars, workshops, and the building a culture and practice of peer-to-peer learning.
  • Be a trusted consultant to partners and help them leverage our products to grow and sustain their communities, supporting them in the resolution of challenges they face in using the company’s family of apps.
  • Develop deep community & product expertise with an ability to collect and synthesize meaningful feedback to be the voice of your partners internally, represent their needs and collaborate with central product team to inform and accelerate product & program strategies.
  • Support Europe wide activations in support of key company priorities ranging from supporting communities through the COVID 19 pandemic to efforts to make online communities safer.
  • Support community leaders to participate in new product research and testing opportunities, helping shape online tools to empower community leaders and support communities to thrive.
  • Work with a cohort of up to five top French community leaders one on one, providing individual coaching and support.
  • Develop new partner opportunities by researching and identifying potential partnerships.
  • Work cross functionally with a variety of teams, including Policy, Communications, Product, Marketing and Operations teams to advocate for partner needs - with a focus on France, Germany & the UK.
Minimum Candidate Requirements:
  • Proven track record of developing relationships and supporting stakeholders online, via scaled channels.
  • BA/BS degree or higher.
  • 4+ years of experience, working in community and/or community management.
  • Fluency in English & German.
  • Experience using data to make decisions.
  • Experience communicating and presenting to internal and external partners.
  • Proven experience working cross-functionally with different levels of management, both internally and externally.
  • Experience with company platforms and how its products, in particular Groups, could be leveraged to build community.
  • Track record of working with a high degree of autonomy in a fast moving, dynamic and complex stakeholder environment.
  • Demonstrated care/commitment to driving impact in society.

Preferred Candidate Requirements:
  • Fluency in French.
  • Experience synthesizing and advocating for partner needs internally to product teams.
  • Experience with business & community strategy.
  • Experience running scaled global initiatives using online and offline tools.
  • Experience coaching community leaders or not profit leaders.
