Interim Marketing and Communications Director
6 Month Contract
£70,000- £80,000 (pro rata)
Central London (Remote until September)
We have an exciting opportunity to join a Charity/Membership organisation in a Marketing and Communications Director role on an interim basis. They are looking to add a data-driven and innovative candidate to lead the team and play a critical part in helping to support the organisation through the current climate.
Delivering a solid marketing strategy and plan (with the opportunity to work with an external consultancy), and reviewing the resources needed for such strategy and plan to be effectively delivered are the main objectives for the role.
  • Provide leadership to the marketing and communication team;
  • Developing and taking steps to implement a marketing and communication strategy and plan;
  • Delivering market insight – including strategies for taking products to market (including a product development strategy);
  • Delivering a membership value proposition;
  • Optimise our use of data and marketing technologies to improve the quality of the marketing department output;
  • Implement an agile approach to support continuous improvement and innovation within marketing and communication;
  • Identify and develop key strategic partnerships to sell and develop education and training products and raise awareness of alternative dispute resolution;
  • Ensure effective event management – increasing attendance;
  • Balance our commercial requirements and deliver client-focused marketing activities to deliver on specific campaigns and meet the wider business needs;
  • Ensure effective marketing budgeting, forecasting and management of the team.
The ideal candidate will be:
  • A great team player, who can motivate and coach teams through change while maintaining business performance.
  • A passionate digital marketer with a rigorous approach to data;
  • Experienced in managing global marketing strategies, and an understanding of the need to adapt and localise;
  • A member champion, with evidence of a customer lifecycle approach. Creating innovative solutions to acquiring and engaging with members globally;
  • Someone with an eye for detail and the bigger picture and is more than happy to get their hands dirty;
  • Passionate about brand, with experience driving improvements in tone of voice and communication of our brand and value proposition to customers visually and through our content strategy;
  • Solutions focused, who can work effectively to deliver the right volumes of traffic and align across key horizontals such as content strategy;
