Manager Product Partnerships

Location: London

Length: 5 Months

Rate: £33.00 - £38.00 per hour

Hours: 9am – 6pm

Our clients Product Partnerships team leads development of the company’s distribution, strategic marketing and technology licensing partnerships. The team needs you to help drive company growth globally, across EMEA, including with a specific focus on the key emerging markets of Africa. This position requires strategic thinking, thought leadership, analytic skills, strong communication skills and deep understanding of the telco industry.

This role is required to be filled to cover for a team member going on maternity leave.

Overall Responsibilities:
The person in this role will work with colleagues in Product Partnerships, cross-functional colleagues, and our partners on new product launches, product integration, marketing campaigns, feature requests, and strategic planning to drive successful partner implementations and increase user adoption and awareness of company products.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
  • Support partner relationships that drive distribution of and access to company applications and services and drive significant awareness and user growth with mobile operator, broadband and pay TV partners in Africa and key developed markets globally.
  • Define, analyze, and communicate partner metrics, surface insights, develop account plans, present to company management and partners, and support scalable user acquisition through partnerships and marketing programs.
  • Support longer term planning, researching and understanding longer term industry trends and analysis of competitive dynamics in priority markets.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of relevant experience in business development and business operations roles.
  • Experience in the telecom, media and technology sector in Developed and Emerging Markets
  • Demonstrated success working in cross-functional teams, building strong partner relationships.
Nice to Have Skills:
  • MBA or equivalent with at least 10 years of work experience in front line client facing business development roles.
  • Management consulting or corporate strategy experience.
  • Experience doing deals and managing relationships with the major telecom group operators of Europe and OEMs and creating scalable partner management processes with detailed account plans.
  • Strong understanding of mobile and broadband business models and priorities for partners.
  • Demonstrated success at working with cross-functional teams and building strong relationships across departments including sales, marketing, business development, engineering and product management.
  • Strategic, structured thinker with experience in SSA markets including South Africa, Nigeria, and Kenya.
