Junior Data Analyst
Global Music Brand
My client is a global music brand.  They are looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join their expanding, passionate and dedicated team.  Reporting to the Analytics Translator, you will be a key part of reimagining the way my client thinks about communicating data and insights into their artists and colleagues, future proofing all that they do with smart intel and raising the standard across the team on data literacy.
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Help manage and prioritise analysis requests from the label team
  • Translate analysis requests from stakeholders into clear structured plans
  • Refresh / update the artist reporting
  • Extract and analyse bespoke artist data sets to enable deeper understanding and inform planning decisions when required
  • Help manage and prioritise analysis requests from the label team
  • Look to build automation into all that you do to support smart ways of working.
  • Support the build of all our team dashboards to enable quick and easy access to key metrics
  • Help produce visually exciting pieces of insight / analysis to ensure non-data minded stakeholders are engaged
  • Analyse large data sets
  • Support the data translator in building a clear evaluation framework for the team
  • Extract bespoke data sets using SQL from cloud-based data storage platforms
  • Undertake data collection from multiple sources
  • Participate in events and workshops that excite the teams and push the learning agenda
  • Communicate insights in simple and clear terms to all stakeholders to ensure data / insights become fully integrated in their ways of working
To be considered you must have: 
  • Some data analytics/insight experience is desirable but not essential
  • Highly numerate with the ability to uncover patterns, trends and stories within data
  • An understanding of the techniques and technologies of data science
  • Knowledge of and experience using SQL and cloud-based data storage preferable
  • Strong excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, INDEX, MATCH, pivot tables etc)
  • Knowledge of Power BI / Domo / Google Data Studio preferable   
  • Flexible and able to prioritise the workload
  • Excellent project management, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels within the business.
  • Good presentation skills to sell in creative ideas to the label, artists and management
  • Hard working, enthusiastic and willing to work outside of work hours when necessary to ensure successful delivery
