Carrier Operational Support

Rate: £20-£28p/h DOE

Location: London

Duration: 12 months

A great 12 month opportunity for an experienced and capable IT Ops Support Specialist. This role is working with one of the largest and most recognised Tech brands globally supporting on their Direct Carrier Billing. You will be in touch globally with mobile phone carriers, ensuring optimum performance. 

Job Responsibilities

Support maintenance of existing 150+ DCB carriers, including:

-Project managing standard operational tasks that must be performed for each carrier, for example: rotating keys and certificates

-Setup and configuration of carrier facing tools

-Communicating API spec changes e.g. the association prefix change DCB? 

-New monthly report spec and tracking adoption of the changes across all carriers.

Monitoring and performance:

-Ensure carriers are operating correctly, contacting carriers when negative changes are detected 

-Troubleshooting technical issues as they occur

-Carry out basic analysis of revenue performance using data warehouse tools.

Improve user satisfaction by:

-Managing charging and refunds issues between carriers and ConOps

-Provide second level support for ConOps and-Inform them proactively about changes to the product

Skills and Experience 

Required

-Project management skills, in particular managing project working with external customers and vendors.

-Good verbal and email communication skills

-Analytical skills, e.g. analysing system or revenue performance using SQL

-Experience in managing operational support teams

-Basic unix shell experience

Qualifications-BA Degree level, or equivalent practical experience

Nice to have

-Intermediate linux system command line usage, e.g. usage of scripting languages, common linux utilities, source control.
