My client is a high profile national Charity, they are currently looking for an experienced Head of PR to lead their national PR team. The role is multi faceted and involves reputation management through strategic leadership on the positioning of the charity for external audiences. The role will also provides advice and guidance on public perception of the organisation’s activities, influences decision making to mitigate reputational risk and provides crisis communications management. The role holder will promote the work of the charity through earned media in line with marketing and the wider organisational objectives, develop and deliver strategic PR objectives and execute planned campaigns to ensure that the Charity maintains a year-round profile.

Communications Strategy and Campaigns
Press Office Management
Stakeholder Relations
Budget Management
People Management

To be considered you must have:
Experience of creating and implementing communications strategies within a national organisation.
Significant knowledge, conceptual understanding and proven experience of delivering PR strategies.
Demonstrable experience in a fast-moving press office for a large, diverse organisation.
In depth knowledge of the UK’s media landscape, communications principles and techniques, and industry trends.
Demonstrable leadership experience of line managing staff within a national organisation.
Demonstrable leadership experience of line managing staff within a national organisation.
Significant experience in communication – written and verbal – and the ability to write targeted copy.
Substantial experience of commissioning and managing suppliers.
Demonstrable experience of managing media at large-scale events.
Demonstrable experience of senior level stakeholder relationships and management representing a national organisation.
Significant experience of managing direct reports, suppliers and working within budgets in excess of £1M.
Sound judgement, and the experience, resilience and confidence to earn the respect of the organisation’s senior leadership.
Desirable - experience in the 3rd sector
