Length: 12 months
Rate: £50-55 p/h
Hours: 9am-6pm
The main function of the Research & Data Engineer is to develop, evaluate, test, and maintain architectures and data solutions within our research organization. In this role, you will help build software pipelines for processing multi-sensory audio-visual datasets and develop cutting-edge deep learning / computer vision models for 3D reconstruction and novel-view synthesis.
Job Responsibilities:
- Build and improve data pipelines with an emphasis on supporting a multitude of sensor technologies (including visual and audio sensors).
- Participate in implementation and scaling of novel computer vision and machine learning algorithms in areas such as: 3D reconstruction, video understanding, image segmentation, and depth sensing.
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional engineers and researchers for data collection, data processing and analysis.
Skills:
- Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with researchers and engineers on project goals, as well as work independently or with minimal direction.
- 3+ years of experience developing in C++ and/or Python.
- Computer Vision experience that provides familiarity with fundamental concepts such as image formation and camera calibration. Experience with 3D reconstruction is preferred.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience required. MSc or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Computer Engineering or related technical field preferred.
