Data Analyst

Location: London

Length: 12 Months

Rate: £44.11 - £48.38 per hour (40 hours p/w)

Hours: 9am-6pm

As the Monitoring team, part of Data Infra org, we build critical monitoring infrastructure. Our mission is to build world-class UI experiences and services for monitoring systems and products, including Detection, Investigation, and Incident Management. Our products and services are used by all company engineers and we deeply care about providing excellent support for them.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Independently drive customer support for internal products and services.
  • Triage incoming tickets: urgency, priority, type of an issue.
  • Troubleshoot complex problems.
  • Work closely with customer to gather required information to enable efficient investigations.
  • Identify bugs in the software by digging into the code, databases, browsing through logs etc.
  • Propose workarounds and resolution for issues encountered by users.
  • Provide guidance for less experienced users.
  • Update user documentation to provide more guidance to the users.
  • Create actionable bugs / feature requests.
  • Categorising problems into common types and surfacing common root-causes to the team.
Required Skills / Experience:
  • 8+ years experience in debugging, troubleshooting, and customer support.
  • 6+ years experience in Python (or other back end programming language) and SQL.
  • Experience in understanding large code bases, including APIs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and suggesting changes needed to resolve issues.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and being a team player.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
