Our music client is looking for a Content Marketing Manager to join their team.
In this role, you’ll manage the planning and execution of one of their high profile studio brands and marketing campaigns, with an emphasis on content creation. You’ll have a proven track record of planning, creating and delivering 360-degree marketing campaigns, preferably in a related industry.
You will be part of a small team with big ambitions, so this is a hands-on role juggling multiple projects and priorities. Whether devising new content series, planning a filmed studio session, workshop or multichannel campaign, researching & writing compelling copy and artworking brilliant digital assets, you’ll need to be highly organised with the motivation to make a difference.
Responsibilities:
- You’re detail driven, with excellent organisational skills, comfortable with managing complex processes across multiple concurrent activations and campaigns.
- You have a strong understanding of the fundamentals of marketing and brand management, using digital media to achieve business & communications objectives.
- You’re immersed in social media trends and know how to use the major platforms to maximise engagement and track results.
- Self-motivated and driven, you own projects and deliver to the highest standard, ensuring complete accuracy and meeting deadlines at all times, with minimum support from your manager.
- You contribute ideas within an existing brand framework to strengthen output and deliver results.
- You devise content series, campaigns and events that deliver cut through and growth.
- You create your own visual assets: from digital graphics to video and photography.
- You research and write compelling copy that inspires audiences and drives them into action.
- You think like a journalist, always taking an editorial perspective to every opportunity.
- You have the confidence to network, build rapport and communicate with all kinds of people across the music industry – from engineers and artist managers to media and beyond.
- You need to have a genuine passion for music and understand the music creation and production process.
- Evening and weekend work will be required occasionally.
What you need for the role:
- Highly organised and driven self-starter, with proven project & campaign management skills, able to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Experience of planning and managing digital marketing campaigns
- A strong, confident and personable communicator, comfortable dealing with varied stakeholders, who works well independently and as part of a team
- Exceptional written communication skills and grammatical accuracy
- Proficient design skills, using Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as Wordpress
- Good knowledge of Premier Pro, Dreamweaver and basic HTML coding
- Deep passion for music with broad knowledge of genres and music creation
- Knowledge of music production process (desirable)
- Content marketing agency experience (desirable)
- Degree or professional qualification in marketing communications, media or similar (desirable)
- Experience of Premiere Pro and After Effects (desirable)
- Musician or music industry experience (desirable)
