Content Commissioner – Music

If you’re nodding your head and you’re also good at multi-tasking, juggling competing priorities, and organising yourself to ensure you deliver on your commitments, then this might be the role for you. 

Our music industry client is looking for a Content Commissioner to join their in-house creative division. You will work alongside the Creative Director and rest of the commissioning team to deliver forward-thinking, culturally relevant content for a diverse roster of artists and commercially focused channels.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Be Creative
  • Commissioning diverse short and long-form content, including music videos, bespoke content, clips for social media, BTS, live sessions, tour and documentary formats as well as content that works across different markets
  • You will work closely with the marketing, social and digital teams to ensure content is faithful to the artist or project vision
  • Editing and treating video content; basic motion design and animation
  • Producing physical layouts and outdoor creative
  • Be Technical
  • Have a technical understanding of producing shoots and understanding of how shoots come together
  • Adapting artwork for marketing and advertising assets across multiple formats
  • Understanding of budgets
  • Know your way around Tik Tok (as a consumer and as a creator) as well as have the ability to self-shoot and edit on other formats
Be Collaborative
  • Being present in all artist planning meetings to ensure understanding of full artist campaigns and future content needs
  • Working closely with the Senior Content Commissioner, Creative Director and marketing managers to ensure artist content strategy aligns with the overall creative direction
  • Driving partnerships with our client’s internal brand agency
  • Commissioning glam teams and negotiating fees with agents (where appropriate) 

 Be Administrative
  • Working closely with business affairs, finance and insurance teams to ensure projects are paper- worked correctly   
  • Working alongside the creative intern and marketing assistants to ensure suppliers are paid within a timely fashion
  • Handling and working with Artist/label pitch documents
The role is expansive, and the ideal candidate will be excited by finding innovative ways to champion artists, and their campaigns.

  • You are a connector and a team player – your network is diverse and filled with creative talent across production houses, social channels, agencies and brands
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Able to use video editing software (After Effects/Premiere)
  • Any 3D experience would be a bonus
