Job Description
Role Brief
This Business Engineering role includes a combination of partner-facing time to understand their technical and business needs and write some code to address those needs. That coding output can be in the form of internal queries, APIs, product integrations, or tools to help partners and our client achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. We also design and deliver technical solutions critical to our partners’ success. In doing so, we help partners realize the full value of working with our clients family of apps focusing on helping them grow their business with us while reducing the effort and investment to leverage our platforms.
Day-to-day areas:
- The integrations could be around Catalog qualities, business messaging – messaging APIs around WhatsApp, messenger, reels- how do we have better reels
- Understand the stack that our client has and help the partner integrate with their solutions.
- Making sure the deployment is working correctly
- Identify gaps in their products, API or platforms then fix them and send the code to the product teams
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer building and shipping products or equivalent experience
- B.A./B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree or experience
- Experience with open source languages such as PHP, Python, Ruby, Objective-C/C++, Swift, Java, Kotlin, or C# Knowledge of the Web technology stack (for example HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS)
- Experience with software design and architecture Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with REST APIs and developer platforms Experience working on multi-person code bases including open source or personal projects
- Experience with open-source contributions (especially as part of larger projects)
- Experience contributing to developer and platform documentation Client/partner-facing and/or experience communicating to an audience is preferred
- Experience working with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, GCP
