Business Development manager

Length: 9 Months
Rate: £350 – £400 Per day PAYE
Hours: 9am-6pm
This client is a top 5 tech giant with a global retail operation, video streaming platform, and has a big imprint in web services. This is a hybrid role, so you will split your time between home office and the clients offices in central London. On-site you will be able to access their amazing facilities and quirky working spaces.
Job Description
- You have very strong negotiation skills and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding business goals;

- You are a self-starter, and can juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often highly ambiguous environment;
- You have extensive experience developing relationships with external partners as well as with internal stakeholders such as Operations, Procurement, Finance, Legal, Product and Tax;
- You have extensive business development and sales experience in the PropTech sector.
This role will be based in London (can be performed remotely) and with moderate travel to meet the team and the customers.
About the Team
Key Job Responsibilities
- Strategy: provide advisement to GMT team to finalize strategy, including support with development of features, sales strategy, launch and execution.
- Deliver results: identify strong prospects and close successful deals with them
- Build a pipeline of qualified leads through sales efforts;
- Acquire authorization to enable the new Key product in their buildings
- Ensure the product is live in these buildings, generating revenue.
- Stakeholder management: build a trusting relationship with key partners and stakeholders
- Customer relationship management: build and maintain strong relationship with our potential future strategic customers;
- Cross-functional collaboration: relay market trends, competitor activities and requirements back to internal Key teams such as product, software, hardware and operations.
- Dive deep: measure and report performances, articulate root-cause analysis, and link to specific improvement areas.
Deliverables – Example of Delivery Schedule
First 2 Months
1) Support and provide advisement to GTM leader to finalize strategy
2) Identify necessary KPIs and develop reporting mechanism
3) Identify, hire, and train two sales reps (if needed)
4) Review list of existing Channel Partners and Named Accounts
Following 3 Months
5) Build a pipeline of 500 qualified building leads through sales efforts
6) Acquire authorization to enable the product in 200 buildings
Following 4 Months
7) Increase the pipeline to 1,000 qualified leads
8) Acquire authorization to enable the product in 500 buildings
9) Ensure the product is live in 125 buildings total, of which 100 are revenue generating by end of Sept
10) Ensure the product is live in 200 buildings total, of which 160 are revenue generating by end of Nov
11) Ensure the product is live in 250 buildings total, of which 200 are revenue generating by end of year
Through Work Order
12) Identify a revenue channel for the product within the first year of product launch
13) Define desirable customer adoption rate and churn rate goals for the program and build mechanisms to achieve those goals within one year of launching the product
Qualifications
• Extensive experience in business development, sales and account management in the PropTech sector;
• Extensive experience in working with property owners/companies, property manager or housing associations;
• Demonstrated ability in managing commercial relationships with mid to large partners;
• Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment;
• Strong ownership, bias for action;
• Excellent communications skills;
• Ability to prioritize and demonstrate relentless discipline in achieving goals;
• Ability to take decision based on data;
• Minimum 7 years of experience in business development, sales and account management;
• Fluent in English and ideally another European language (German, French and/or Italian).
