CAD Technician

Location: Leven
Length: 12m
Rate: £48.75 – £57.85 per hour (Inside IR35 via umbrella)
Hours: 9am – 6pm
REF no: 26341041

This client is a multinational alcoholic beverages company, and one of the largest and most prominent spirits and beer producers globally. With a plethora of well-known and recognizable alcohol brands to their name, this client are a leader in the global FMCG space.

The CAD technician will report to the Site Engineering Manager.

Support our client’s Project Engineering Team and any direct assistance called upon by site, when requested.
Produce, amend and control the drawings in line with the client’s CAD CoP.
These include (but not limited to) our General Arrangement Layouts, P&ID’s, Registers, COMAH and DSEAR drawings for each site.

  • Ensuring our drawing sharing platform is maintained with accurate and up-to-date information and made readily available to all our client’s personnel and 3rd parties when required.
  • Ensure tasks and projects information are communicated appropriately.
  • Be aware of and ensure the implementation of any of our client’s 3rd parties Health and Safety or Environmental requirements are followed.
  • Assist with the continuous improvement of the CAD CoP standard.
  • Assist other members of the CAD team when called upon.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as your own continuous improvement best practices.

Skills: 
 

  • Qualified to at least HNC level in CAD and fluent with AutoCAD 2018 on newer.
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office packages including Excel and Word.
  • Previous experience with process and P&IDs.
  • Previous experience with Civils beneficial.
  • Previous experience with Electrical drawings beneficial.
  • Excellent own planning and organisational skills.
  • Ability to be self-motivated to achieve key deliverables.

Education:     

  • Qualified to at least HNC level in CAD and fluent with AutoCAD 2018 on newer.
