International Sales Assistant

Maternity Cover - at least 4 months

Leading International Publisher seek a confident and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to provide full administrative support to the International Sales Manager and team. Key territories you would be focussing on would be South Asia and Middle East.
Responsibilities will include; Providing customer support to the territories and liaising with them on customer orders and enquiries etc; Product management support for agency product manager; Diary management, arranging meetings, travel and hotel bookings for both managers; Ensuring the smooth running of the office while the managers are away on sales trips; Arranging despatches of sample books and sales materials; General administration duties
Excellent administrative skills are essential as is a sound knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook and previous office. Good time management, the ability to work on your own initiative and strong communication and numeracy skills are also required.

Leading International Publishers seek a confident, enthusiastic Sales Assistant with excellent communication skills, to work in their London office.
Providing support to Sales Managers across the team, the assistant must be able to multi-task and have proven experience within a supportive capacity. The role is wide ranging with responsibilities in sales fulfilment, customer support and liaison as well as developing a through understanding of the business and publishing lists.
The Assistant will proactively engage with internal departments, communicating with production and editorial teams, tracking titles through the production process and resolving potential issues as they arise.
This exciting opportunity gives a valuable insight into publishing and is ideally suited for a team player who is seeking to develop a career within a sales environment. The candidate must have a flair for presentation, possessing strong and persuasive negotiation skills, be sales focused and be fluent in both English Italian or French (both languages would be an additional advantage). This position will be rewarding for individuals seeking a challenge who are keen to demonstrate initiative, and to build upon existing organizational and interpersonal skills. Due to international commitments, the Assistant must also be willing to travel if required.
