Managing Director

Caroline founded Career Moves back in 1987 and has since grown the company from strength to strength. In addition to leading the company and its divisions, Caroline still actively recruits across senior and executive level HR positions within FMCG, retail, tech, telecoms, marketing, creative, event and media owning organisations.

With her extensive network and experience developed over nearly 30 years, stays ahead of the competition and is front of mind for clients and candidates alike.

Head of Career Moves Tech & Telco

With nearly 30 years' HR recruitment experience, Sheryll works with talented senior and executive level HR professionals within media, retail and tech organisations, corporate brands and higher education institutions.

Sheryll leads on Career Moves internal and external leadership and mentoring programmes. This includes Career Ready UK which provides employability skills training sessions and support to sixth form students at Queens Park Community School in north London.

Laurence joined the Career Moves HR team from Apple where he worked in the corporate recruitment team, focussing on marketing and PR roles across the UK, Europe and the Middle East. He now works across a wide variety of HR generalist and specialist roles at the mid-senior level in media, creative and tech companies.

“My role is extremely fast-paced but also a lot of fun! I love partnering with our clients to search and select the best candidates for exciting roles in some of the world’s most exciting companies.”

Michelle has over 16 years recruitment experience, with a broad in-depth understanding of resourcing activities within different functions.

She possesses a strong ability to manage high volume recruitment and
is well equipped to deal with interim roles in a fast paced environment. Michelle believes the ability to provide an exceptional level of service is key to success within recruitment. 

Michelle prides herself on building strong-lasting relationships with both candidates and clients, by listening , understanding and partnering with them to ensure that she delivers on their requirements.

Junior Account Manager

Tom joined Career Moves in September 2016 after completing a Degree in Music Production at the University of Central Lancaster. Although music production is a far cry from recruitment, he has been working alongside media companies over the past 3 years in relation to his personal music endeavours. Tom has been running his own music events all over the north of England for the past three years. When doing this he has found that the key to success is building good rapport with customers and colleagues alike.

This means he’s got the right attitude and passion to be joining the team to recruit into media, tech and creative businesses.  As a new member of the team, Tom will be working closely alongside the well-established Career Moves HR Division team, building his skillset and gaining experience working with passionate HR professionals. Tom will manage all HR roles at the junior level.

Esther first joined Career Moves in 1996 after spending a few early years of her career working in the media industry herself. On having twin boys, took a few years out and now works remotely from Newcastle.

Esther gets a huge buzz matching talent with amazing roles from inspiring clients we work with in the Human Resources arena, in the regions and more recently in Europe.

As a Senior Recruiter across PR, Marketing, Digital & Broadcast Juliet has a wealth of recruitment and HR experience. Well networked and highly skilled Juliet excels at recruiting at the senior end of the market. She is really pleased to be back at Career Moves placing candidates into roles with familiar and new clients.

Daniel joins the team Career Moves PR, Marketing & Digital Team as a Junior Account Manager. Daniel has a keen passion for the media and gets a real buzz from the clients and candidates that he gets to work with. When he's not in the office, Daniel likes to travel and spent 5 months in America last summer.

Bhavneet Gill

Bhavneet Gill

Bhav joined Career Moves in July 2017 as part of the PR, Marketing & Digital Team as an Account Manager. Her role will be to specialise in all perm, temp and interim technology role across the Career Moves Group.

Bhav has been in the recruitment industry for 3 years and finds that the key to being a successful recruiter is building long term relationships with both candidates and clients. At Career Moves, she will take a very consultative approach to understand individual business needs and truly partners with each organisation to help bring the best talent into their business.

Sarah has been part of the Career Moves team for nearly 10 years. Her expertise in recruiting first-class support professionals spans across all administrative and office support roles including the most senior business and executive assistants, facilities managers, office managers and personal assistants, matching them with the top office support jobs around.

Emma Raywood

Senior Account Manager

Emma joined the Career Moves Support team in 2015 and has 9 years experience within the recruitment industry. Prior to joining the team she recruited in both Leeds and Australia across a range of industries and has extensive knowledge of permanent, interim and temporary recruitment.

In her time with the team Emma has progressed to Senior Account Manager and heads up the office support temporary recruitment, managing both short and long term contracts across a range of creative industries including: media, tech, marketing & communications and e-commerce.

Well equipped to deal with either last minute cover or long term contracts for fast paced and dynamic organisations, from SMEs to large global businesses, across all levels of office support roles. Emma prides herself on building long-lasting and successful relationships with candidates and clients, and always aims to provide an exceptional service.

Sam joined Career Moves in 2013 as front of house receptionist. She was promoted to Resourcer for the Office Support team after six months and has since progressed to Account Manager. Sam specialises across temporary, fixed-term contract and permanent support roles from receptionists and admin assistants to personal assistants and broadcast operations.

Junior Account Manager

Lucy joined Career Moves in June 2017 after a successful 10 years working in musical theatre. During this time she has toured with Mamma Mia, Sunny Afternoon and We Will Rock You. Before embarking on her last your, Lucy worked for a company that recruited entertainment staff for overseas holiday resorts which gave her a great basis for starting her career in the recruitment industry.

The networking and communication skills gained through her performing career, along with a passion for working with people, means that Lucy possesses the skills and enthusiasm for a successful career recruiting across media, tech and creative businesses.  As a new member of the team, Lucy will be working closely alongside the well-established Career Moves Support team, building her skillset and gaining experience working with passionate support professionals.

Claire joined the Career Moves team in 2015. Claire’s HR career started in 1997 and her management experience spans start-ups and established organisations globally. Claire has extensive experience leading HR initiatives including policy design, compensation, performance management, mergers/acquisitions, TUPE, employee relations, recruiting, compliance, HRIS implementations, training and development, and benefits. Claire has previously held leadership positions at The Walt Disney Company and Bauer Media.

I probably thrive on not quite knowing what the day might bring as it keeps me on my toes. I enjoy the search for continuous improvement, whether managing projects involving recruitment, talent, developing benefit plans, learning or making processes more efficient, it’s an area where we are always looking at raising standards. As well as the job, I have made many solid friendships during my career and I am continually inspired by the people I work with, both colleagues and senior leaders”

Harriet joined the Career Moves team in 2016, after moving to the UK from Australia. Harriet has had a varied career with a predominance in marketing and communications. She has worked in both the education and private sectors with experience in both small and global organizations. 

At Career Moves, Harriet looks after all social and digital media, events, awards, press releases, internal and external communications. Please get in touch for all media enquiries.

Donna Balbini

Receptionist/Office Administrator

Donna joined us in 2017, having worked within the office environment for years as an office administrator and PA. She is the first port of call when you arrive at Career Moves and keeps the entire office running looking after all the daily administration tasks. She is also responsible for supporting the charity, social and back office support teams.  

Donna says, “I enjoy meeting and greeting new people from at all levels.”

Malorich Pereira

Malorich Pereira

Financial Controller

Malorich joined Career Moves in May 2016. A CIMA qualified accountant, Mal has over 10 years' financial experience gained in both private and public sector organisations.

Mal has previously worked for firms such as Hearst Magazines, Hamleys of London and L’Occitane En Provence. Recently he headed up the management accounts team at the Nursing and Midwifery Council. He brings with him extensive experience in business partnering, financial reporting & analysis and streamlining processes for efficiency gains.

Outside of work Mal is a classically trained piano teacher and loves travelling, where he discovered his passion for scuba diving.

Stephanie Thomson

Payroll and Compliance Manager

Stephanie has worked in in payroll & recruitment for almost 8 years. She worked as a Payroll Manager  for an internet based payroll company processing both temp & perm payroll for a number of companies across the UK and rest of the world – America, Belgium & France, just to name a few. She then spent 18months living in Australia working in a payroll capacity for both Australian and New Zealand organizations. She has experience in both global and small business organizations and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with her to the Career Moves finance team.

Originally from Scotland her spare time passions include travelling & picking new places to travel, most recently Iceland & Indonesia. While living in Australia, she travelled New Zealand & South East Asia before returning to the UK, moving to London in January 2016.

Nikesh Patel

Nikesh Patel

Assistant Management Accountant

Nikesh joined the Finance team in the summer of 2016, having previously worked in both private and public sector organisations in London. Nik graduated with an Accounting & Finance degree in 2013 and is actively studying towards his ACCA qualification.

Prior to Career Moves, Nik has worked in organisations across London where he has primarily focused on process improvement and driving efficiencies within the finance function.

Outside of work Nik is an active gym goer and loves to travel.

Lauren Kett

Lauren Kett

Accounts Assistant

Lauren joined Career Moves Group in March 2015 through an apprenticeship programme. The Leadership Through Sports and Business programme offered Lauren the opportunity to gain financial work experience whilst studying for her finance qualification. Lauren completed her Level 2 & Level 3 AAT diplomas and is currently studying her Level 4 AAT diploma. She has also completed a Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football to under 10’s.
