An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the busy Production and Digital teams at a leading trade publisher. Working across a range of titles you will plan and oversee the eBook manufacturing process to ensure cost-effective, timely and quality production.

Tasks include creating source PDFs, coordinating the delivery and receipt of files to and from the conversion house, making sure the eBooks are delivered on time and that they are created and archived to the correct specification. You will also ensure that the files flow to and from freelancers for QC, before uploading approved product to the internal system and delivering content to retailers on time for publication. Accurate costings will need to be completed promptly and efficiently and a close control of costs will need to be maintained. In addition, you will prepare and monitor production schedules, build and maintain good relationships with outside suppliers, as well internal staff and assist with the smooth running of the department.

You will have a positive and professional approach with excellent organisational, communication and administrative skills. Strong IT skills are essential; knowledge of Acrobat and Photoshop is required as is experience of working with digital content. An understanding of XML would be an advantage.
