You will also have to work very co-operatively within our friendly team and with external outsourcers and suppliers. You should have a sensitive understanding of typography and layout. The work will require you to visualise and commission many high quality and extremely detailed illustrations. Excellent InDesign and Photoshop skills required. Knowledge of hi-res work flow and image manipulation advantageous. You should have a degree or equivalent in Graphic Design . A basic knowledge of anatomy would be a bonus.

The position involves the day to day running of a busy list. You will be responsible for all aspects of production from conception to delivery including price negotiation, sourcing, scheduling, safety testing, origination, quality control and general problem solving, working across both front list and backlist titles.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a high level of efficiency, excellent organisational and communication skills, as well as a sharp eye for detail. With a passion for production you will have experience in managing the book production process, with the ability to source and negotiate favourable pricing for all titles and all components.
It is essential to be able to work under pressure, as well as being numerate and able to deliver product to the standards required on time and in budget.
