European HR Manager

Our client is a fresh and exciting US media entity that has launched it's first European office in the UK and is now embarking on a programme of expanding to other European countries.

This is a new role with that will provide local European HR expertise to the business leaders in all facets of HR and talent management. The HR manager position will drive organisational excellence; provide HR business partnership and day-to-day HR operational delivery. In addition to providing HR coverage in London and ot the other office in Europe, and this role is expected to expand as additional networks are launched throughout Europe during the next 18 months.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
" Establish HR infrastructure within "start-up" environment in partnership with local management (i.e. implement employee handbook, create an onboarding process, and implement HR policies to ensure compliance).
" Ensure successful delivery of all HR services across the full spectrum of generalist HR activities including Employee Relations, T&D, Performance Management, Recruitment, Employee Communications/Events.
" Point of contact for all staff on all company policies - e.g. holiday, maternity leave, benefits, employment contracts, etc.
" Create and maintain all the Personnel files re new starters, leavers, transfers, secondments; and managing working database of staff information.
" Draft all employment contracts for new hires, in liaison with the legal department
" Become a trusted business partner. Build strong and productive relationships with key leaders and their management teams. Proactively partner with management and colleagues to achieve organisational goals.
" Develop and implement HR plans, programmes, policies and practices that support business objectives and enable the company to consistently attract, motivate, develop and retain great talent.

To apply you need to have:
" High degree of comfort with ambiguity and change and ability to work within a creative environment
" Seasoned judgment and maturity
" Able to operate independently
" Results-oriented
" Must be able to multi-task and possess excellent time management skills in a very fluid environment
" Attention to detail

REQUIRED SKILLS
" Solid HR generalist experience, including Pan-European exposure
" Excellent knowledge of UK Employment law and compliance issues.
