A well established creative agency is looking for an experienced Finance Manager for a temporary-to-permanent role in their East London head office.
The ideal candidate will be Qualified or Part-Qualified ACCA /CIMA (or equivalent) and will be a commercial thinker with strong systems skills and the ability to hit the ground running. Superb communication skills are also essential, as you will be required to liaise with various departments and will need to explain relatively complex Finance principles in non-financial terms.
A strong, demonstrable track record within advertising, marketing or the creative industries would be a great advantage and the ability to start immediately is absolutely essential.
A valid UK driving licence would also be advantageous, as there will be frequent travel between two London based offices.
Duties to include:
•All round Finance Management of a successful subsidiary company
•Supporting the administration and agreement of external fee proposals
•Signing off commercial fee agreements and contracts
•Assisting with commercial decision making
•Identifying internal changes and developing workflows & processes to improve productivity
•Providing a transparent & productive liaison between the creative side of the organisation and the finance team
•Reporting to senior management within the subsidiary and the parent company
•Dealing with internal & external financial queries and liaising with various departments and clients
•Other ad-hoc duties as required
Key Competencies:
•A strong background working within Financial Control/Finance Management and a comprehensive understanding of all accounting principles (UK GAAP) – ESSENTIAL
•Experience working within PR, advertising or the creative industries – HIGHLY ADVANTAGEOUS
•Qualified or Part-Qualified in ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) – ESSENTIAL
•Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships – ESSENTIAL
•An understanding of business processes, systems and workflows – DESIRABLE
•The ability to work independently and to self motivate – ESSENTIAL
•Methodical working methods, a thorough approach and excellent problem solving skills – ESSENTIAL
