A prestigious publisher is looking for a permanent Management Accountant for an exciting role in their fast-paced and evolving UK Finance hub. The right candidate will have considerable Management Accounts experience and will be looking for a challenging, progressive role where no two days are the same.

You will have exposure to several Finance systems and the ability to think both commercially and strategically, whilst still getting stuck in to the day-to-day Finance work that need to be completed to tight deadlines.

You may be Qualified or Part-Qualified. Study support is available where required.

Duties to include:

•Producing month end accounts for several high profile brands
•Month end accruals & prepayments
•Forecasting and budgeting
•Balance sheet reconciliations
•Process improvement and implementation of workflows to increase departmental efficiency
•Completing regular SWOT analysis
•Reporting to internal stakeholders on a regular basis
•Develop and maintain financial reports to be used across the finance team
•Ad hoc project work as required

Key Competencies:

•CIMA/ACCA Qualified or Part-Qualified (or equivalent) – Required
•Demonstrable project management experience -Highly Advantageous
•Excellent attention to detail and problem solving ability – Essential
•Considerable experience of month end accounting – Essential
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills & the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial staff – Required
•Commercial & strategic experience in a busy media-based Finance team – Advantageous
•Advanced Excel user (Pivot tables/V-Lookups etc) – Essential
•Workplace experience of workflow & process development/implementation – Desirable
