A top publishing house is looking for a Financial Analyst for a permanent position based in their busy Central London office.

The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of Financial Analysis & Management Accounts, as well as being passionate about the publishing industry. In return you will be given all of the tools to succeed and progress in a World renowned organisation.

Duties to include:

• Preparing annual and quarterly budgets & forecasts
• Monthly reporting to board level, including review sessions to highlight budget variances
• Assisting with the completion of monthly KPI packs for the board
• Cost centre reporting
• Capitalising fixed assets
• Quarterly balance sheet reporting
• Creating reports analysing group sales & profits
• Petty cash control & reconciliation
• Dealing with board level finance queries and ad hoc project work
• Ad hoc finance support

Key Competencies:

• A strong background working within a busy Finance environment – ESSENTIAL
• Experience and/or knowledge of the Publishing sector – DESIRABLE
• A great eye for detail and an analytical mind – ESSENTIAL
• The ability to communicate ay all levels in financial and non-financial terms – REQUIRED
• Advanced level Excel skills (V-Lookups, Pivot Tables & Macros) – ESSENTIAL
• The ability to work under your own initiative and to tight deadlines – REQUIRED
• Studying a recognised accounts qualification (ACCA/CIMA) – DESIRABLE
• Experience of using SAP accounts package – ADVANTAGEOUS
